Reading of selected passages from original Latin text - Coniuratio Catilinae written by Gaius Sallustius Crispus - with the aim to fix the translational skills and improve the interpetation of literary works. Historical and political contexts, specifics of the genre and author´s style.

Reading of selected parts from original Latin texts with the aim to fix the translational skills and improve the interpetation of literary works.
Ability to translate prosaic Latin text, understand historical context and distinguish specific features of author´s style, enlargement of the vocabulary.

Prerequisites

Adequate knowledge of Latin grammar.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Mark, Oral exam, Systematic Observation of Student
Active participation in class, regular preparing for the lessons. Successful completion of the oral examination.
