Course content
|
Reading of selected fables of Ovidius´s Metamorphoses (original Latin text) with the aim to fix the translational skills and improve the interpetation of poetical works. Historical and political contexts, specifics of the genre and author´s style. Obtaining the ability to distinguish tropes and figures.

Reading of selected parts from original Latin texts with the aim to fix the translational skills and improve the interpetation of poetical works.
Ability to translate the Latin epic poetry (Ovid´s Metamorphoses) and read dactylic hexameters, enlargement of the vocabulary.

Prerequisites
|
Adequate knowledge of Latin grammar.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Systematic Observation of Student
Active participation in class, regular preparing for the lessons. Successful completion of the oral examination.
