The seminar is based on reading and analyzing linguistic articles and papers on language phenomena of both Latin and Greek, through which the students will familiarise themselves with individual approaches to language, as well as with methodological possibilities of language description. The subject is created in ESF OPVK, reg. num. CZ 1.07/2.3.00/20.0026. (This subject enlarges original Lexicology.) Block Seminar: Lectures organized in 4 thematic blocks, taking place in November and December (3 blocks in November, 1 in December, always on Thursday, or Wednesday). Specific dates of individual blocks will be agreed in the beginning of semester.
Through an analysis of linguistic texts students will familiarise themselves with individual approaches to language, as well as with possibilities of Latin and Greek language description.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of Latin, basic knowledge of Greek.
