The aim of the course is to get students acguaited with the development of the historiography since its birth, through the first written interpretation of the history of Jewish and Greek culture, Roman and medieval historiography and further to the renaissance literature. The lessons are concerned to the great historians and their influence on the development of the diverse types of historiography and the methods of the historian?s work.
Student has a general overview about the development of the view on the historical writing since the antient times until the middle-ages and knows the most important authors and their work. |
