Seminars follow basic knowledge and experience, which students gain at lectures and seminars of Auxiliary historical sciences. Therefore, an edition of a charter is introduced them in a way of Codex diplomaticus et epistolaris regni Bohemiae to help them understand rules for making a regesta and an edition of charters. On their basis, they will prepare their own regesta and an edition of a selected Czech charter from the 15th or 16th century. Then students will make a description of seals, inscriptions and concrete heraldic sights. Finally, they will learn rules for a description of literary manuscripts. Every class is supplemented by reading medieval texts of diplomatic, epigraphic or codocologic character written by Caroline minuscule or gothic scripts. HF
