Course content
1. From the womb to the tomb (time and perception of human life and death in Early Modern Period, ars moriendi) 2. Changes in nobility in Early Modern Period 3. Ottoman threat in Early Modern Period and Central Europe 4.-5. Europe and overseas 6. Art of the 16th century between Renaissance and mannerism 7. History of childhood 8. Gender history and Early Modern Period 9. Travelling in Early Modern Period 10.-11. The Post-White Mountain period through eyes of the 19th and 20th century HF

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The course concentrates on the analysis of the main historical problems, basic secondary literature and the most important primary sources. HF
Students will gain knowledge of selected topics of this period and they will be also familiar with the literature related to this course. HF

There are no prerequisites for this course. HF

Student performance

Participation in the classes and class discussions, preparation at home, a paper. HF
