Course content
1st Introduction to study history of Prehistory and Archaeology as scientific discipline. 2nd An overview of archaeological paradigms. 3rd Anthropogenesis. 4th Palaeolithic. 5th Mesolithic. 6th Neolithic. 7th Eneolithic. 8th The Bronze Age. 9th Hallstat Period. 10th Le Téne Period. 11th Roman Period. 12th Migration Period. 13th Early Medieval Archaeology.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training)
  • Preparation for the Exam - 24 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Lectures are focused on introduction to Archaeology and basic overview of prehistorical, protohistorical and early medieval period development in Europe. Reconstruction of development is based on interpretation of archaeological sources.
A detailed knowledge and actual overview of prehistorical history, which is based on actual state of research.
Prerequisites
Basic overview of history of Prehistory on secondary school level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam

(1) Excursion: 26 hours = 1 credit; (2) Preparation to attestation: 24 hours = 1 credits.
