The aim of this seminar is to present selected topics from the social and cultural history of Bohemian Lands in the 19th century (schooling and education, parliamentarianism, everydayness, travelling, sports, literature, music and art).
Students will learn to understand the social and cultural development of Europe in the "long" 19th century and will get familiar with the Czech as well as foreign scholarly literature dealing with the social and cultural history of this period. |
