Course content
|
The aim of lectures is a brief development of archival science - i.e. the origin of archival science such as a field of study and science, beginnings of archival science, a state of archival science in Czech lands till 1918, assertion of archival science as science, organisation of archival science after 1945. Personalities of Czechoslovak archival science will be presented. These lectures will be followed by a present situation of archival science including a valid legislation. The attention will be paid to a record office, a choice of archives and their evidence and making them accessible. Seminars deal with excursions into archives in Nový Jičín and Brno. HF

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of lectures is to acquaint students with the origin, history and a present situation of archival science such as a field of science with a special regard to the development of Czech lands. the second aim is to make studnets familiar with a present organisation of archival science in our country including a valid legislation. In this respect, the special attention will be paid to record office - a choice, evidence and making archives accessible. HF
