Learning outcomes
Students will be familiarized with the development of official and unofficial culture in 1948-1989. Attention will be focused on the relation between culture and policy of the communist regime.
Students will be informed about the history of cultural and politic situation in Czechoslovakia in the years 1948-1989. They will be able to recognize the most important socialist-realistic artistic works. They will able to speak about the phenomenon of alternative art and its representatives.
Prerequisites
Elementary knowledge of political situation in the Czechoslovakia in the years 1948-1989 and knowledge of the most important world events of the 20. century.
