Course content
|
The lectures will be addressed broader questions related to medieval culture and current trends and discussions on these issues: travel and trade in the Middle Ages, boundaries, leisure and entertainment, clothing, food, housing, transportation and customs, education, peculiarities of the burial rite , magic, pagan religions, superstitions, customs and folk culture, mentality and the agricultural cycle, the mental equipment of social groups, families, execution (gallows, pillory), selected artifacts of material culture, the discussion on the issue of the so-called medieval archeologii-. grounding, wooden sacred buildings the beginnings castles. Monitored the culture and everyday life of man Czech Middle Ages. During the lectures will be reflected current trends in Czech medieval studies.

Learning outcomes
|
The course is purposed to deepening of theoretical and contectual knowledge of medieval archaeology, with partial focus on current discussion topics and up-to-date MA topics of students. It will be carried out as combination of concise overview lectures with case studies and discussions prepared by students.
