Course content
Lectures: 1st Introduction to the matters - History of Archaeology and field archaeological research. 2nd Basic terms, process of archaeologization, types of sources, culture layer, intrusion, finding complex etc. 3rd Preparation of field archaeological research (types of sources and springs). 4th Archaeological prospection - surface research, visual research, sampling technics, Archeogeophysical methods, Aerial Archaeology, localize site, GIS. 5th Field archaeological uncovering - types of archaeological researches according to legislation and using methods, types of excavation methods. 6th Methods of field archaeological research - form of uncovering, preparation objects and its documentation. 7th Terrain documentation of archaeological research. 8th Stratigraphy, stratigraphical units, stratigraphical methods of terrain archaeological uncovering. 9th Forms of excavation archaeological memory, Methods of basic treatment of archaeological materials in terrain, excavation object in situ, sampling, using of chemical preparation in terrain, lactoprofils. 10.-11th Assessment phase of field archaeological research (digitalization of terrain documentation, Harris diagram, total plan, treatment in laboratory, preservation and evidence of archaeological items). 12th Outcome of archaeological research - principles of writing finding protocols and another popularization types of presentations results of archaeological research. 13th Summary of terms, recapitulation of types of archaeological research, its methods and terrain documentation. Seminars: 1-13th Discussion about themes in lectures, visition of actual running archaeological research with practical trying of documentation technics of uncovering archeological situations and application theoretical pieces of knowledge in practice.

Learning outcomes
The main target of subject is gaining theoretical knowledge of history, preparation, realisation and evaluation of field archaeological research and another terms, which are connected with these matters.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Written exam

Attend entrance turitorial - 1 hour: acquainted with contein and form of study subject, delivery resource materials. Attend running turitorial - 2l+2s: lectures and seminars about preparation, realisation and evaluation og archaeological research, its methods and results, discuission about theme from lecture. Consultations - Consultations are two at beggining and in the end of semester at least: determination of procedure of individual studies and establish tasks. When student need, he can establish more consultations. Student can select formo of consultation with lecturers - personal, by email, skype, facebook etc. Study is controled by series of tasks, which student does between consultations. Subject is finished by Colloquium as written test (test with questions) and by Credit (active participation at lessons and discharging of individual task).
