Course content
Teaching the theory of preservation and restoration of glass and organic artefacts (textiles, leather, bone, wood). Practical exercises with glass and organic materials. Mechanical cleaning, preservation, and restoration of glass and organic artefacts. Conservation report.

Learning outcomes
Acquiring practical experiences with the processing of archaeological glass and organic material.
Knowledge of preservation and restoration procedures for glass and organic materials. Acquisition of practical skills - conservation and restoration of archaeological glass and organic materials.
Prerequisites
The basic overview in the archaeological cultures of Central Europe.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Systematic Observation of Student

Participation in the introductory tutorial - 1 hour: introduction to the content and method of study of the course. Participation in the ongoing tutorial: 4 exercises devoted to selected activities within the course. Consultations - at least two consultations at the beginning and during the semester: determination of the individual study procedure and assignment of tasks. Additional ongoing consultations are possible, as needed by the student. Students can choose the form of consultation with teachers, either in person, via email, or via online platforms. Study progress is monitored by assigning a series of tasks in Moodle, which students must complete between consultations.
