Course content
Lectures: 1- 2nd Early and Middle Bronze Age - Beginning of Epicorved Ware complex, origin of Early Bronze age civilization Unětické Culture (Protoúnětická Culture) - relations and interactions, finding cadastre, view of settlement, structure of estate housing and burial grounds, question of burial rite, material culture, inside aand outside periodization. Full of Early Bronze Age - Věteřovská group, Issue of knoll and fortified estte housing, circuit fortification (roundel and rondeloind), burial rite (Peška). 3 - 4th Beginning of Tumuli Culture of Middle Bronze Age - Central Danube Tumuli Culture - material culture (ceramics, bronze industry, metalurgy, saving of hoards), example of settlement areas in Early and Middle Bronze Age in Moravia. Central European chronological systems, relative and absolute chronology (Peška). 5 - 6th Urnfield Period and Hallstat Period - history of researches, perodization of Middle to Final Bronze Age and Hallstat Period, issue od relative and absolute chronology and addiction to radiocarbons dates 14C and results of dendrochronology, comparison of chronological systems in Central Europe (Golec). 7 - 8th Czech Palatinate Tumuli Culture (tumuli - milavecs phase) and Central Danube Tumuli Culture (tumuli - knovíz phase) in Czech, tumuli - Velatice and tumuli - Lužice period in Moravia - basic characteristic, expansion and material culture. Czech - Eastbavarian Urnfield Period (Knoviz Culture, Milaveč Culture, Štitar Culture, Nynice Culture, Cheb Culture) in Czech and Cental Danube Urnfield Period (Velatice Culture), in Moravia - basic characteristic, expansion, inside chronology and material culture (Golec). 9 - 10th Silesian Culture in North and East Czech and in Central and North Moravia, Podolí Culture in South Moravia, cultures of Final Bronze Age in Central, West and South Czech - basic characteristic, expansion, inside chronology and material culture (Golec). 11 - 13th Bylany Culture, Hallstat Tumuli Culture and Billendorf Culture in Czech, Lausitz Culture in Hallstat Period (Platěnice Culture) in North and East Czech and in Central Moravia, Horákov Culture in South Moravia, Final Hallstat Period in Czech Republic - basic characteristic, expansion, inside chronology and material culture (Golec). Seminars (leaders are lecturers in timetable of lessons) 1st Selection of presentation´s and essay´s topics 2-13th Presentation and discussion about topics of essays.

Learning outcomes
Study programm is focused on era from beginning of Bronze Age to end of Hallstat Period (20-5. century BC) at area of Czech Republic and neighboring places. Students are familiar with actual state of research in all main part of research and new theoretical attitudes for evaluation and interpretation of selected circuits of archaeological sources. Study is watched structure and variability of excavated foundation of each culture with focusing on specifics of all cultural geographical areas. Seminars contain student´s presentations about selected topic.
Good orientation in study matters, knowledge to interpretation of cultural development of Bronze Age and Hallstat Period in Central Europe, overview of actual literature about selected issue.
Prerequisites
Basic orientation of cultures in Bronze Age and Hallstat Period (from Study of prehistory).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Seminar Work

Attend entrance turitorial - 1 hour: acquainted with contein and form of study subject, delivery resource materials. Attend at study programm at UP whole day long - four lectures with selected topics from Bronze Age and Hallstat Period, 4 seminars contain students presentations and professional discussion. Consultations - Consultations are not least the two at beggining and in the end of semester: determination of procedure of individual studies and establish tasks. When student need, he can establish more consultations. Student can select formo of consultation with lecturers - personal, by email, skype, facebook etc. Study is controled by series of tasks, which student does between consultations. Subject is finished by attestation by Credits (presentation) and Oral Examination.
