Course content
Lectures: Kalábková: 1. Introduction of tzhe issues. Definition of the region. The natural environment in the past and nowadays. Reconstruction of historical communications. 2. The history of research in the region of central Moravia. Regional bibliography. 3. Paleolithic and Mesolithic age in central Moravia. 4. Neolithic age in Central Moravia. 5. Early and Middle Eneolithic age in region of Central Moravia. Peška: 6. Early and late Eneolithic age in Central Moravia. 7. Early and Middle Bronze Age in Central Moravia. 8. The period pf Lusatian urnfields in central Moravia 9.La Téne age in central Moravia. 10. Roman period and the migration period in Central Moravia. Šlézar: 11. Archaeology of Early Medieval Central Moravia. 12. Archaeology of high and late Middle Ages and Modern Age in Central Moravia. Seminars: 1. - Introductory Seminar - Giving specification and materials for creation of thesis. 2. - 12. Individual work over the seminary work and consultation with lecturers. AD

Learning outcomes
To study the regional archeology (central Moravia)- introduction to problematics, definition of the region, natural conditions of the region in the past and today, history of the research. Overview of the settlement in Central Moravia from the Palaeolithic age to modern times. Significant archaeological sites in Central Moravia. AD
Knowledge of the issues in archaeology. An overview on archaeological cultures and main sites in the region of central Moravia. Knowledge of composition of text about archaeological findings in chosen region. AD

The basic overview in the archaeological cultures of central Moravia. AD

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Seminar Work

Participation in lessons and formation of seminary work from regional archeology - making a survey of archaeological findings, researches, localities and development of settlements in the selected region (eg catastral municipality, part of the city, etc.). AD
