Course content
The lecture offers information about the development of German language in the Old High German period (750 - 1050) and the Middle High German period (1050 - 1350). These interesting developmental periods, during which important literary documents were written (Abrogans, Muspilli, Hildebrandslied, Tatian, Eneit, Iwein, Erec, Parzifal, Nibelungenlied and others), will be studied from the viewpoint of development of phonology, morphology, syntax and lexicology.

The lecture offers information about the development of German language in the Old High German period (750 - 1050) and the Middle High German period (1050 - 1350).
Basic information about the development of German language on the phono-graphemic, morphological, syntactical and lexical levels.
Prerequisites
Intended primarily for the students of the master study program.

Passing the oral exam in the summer semester. The course is two semesters long.
