Course content
Geschichten und Figuren aus dem Alten Testament in Texten der deutschen Literatur: Das Literaturseminar wird sich mit belletristischen Texten beschäftigen, die sich in den Geschichten des Alten Testaments inspiriert haben. Zu jedem Text werden mehrere Teilnehmer kurz referieren. Das Ziel ist, sowohl die klassischen biblischen Geschichten kennenzulernen (ins Gedächtnis zu rufen) als auch die Art und den Sinn/die Botschaft der literarischen Bearbeitung aufzuzeigen. Texte (kann sich noch ändern): Thomas Mann: Das Gesetz Albert Paris Gütersloh: Kain und Abel Ernst Barlach. Die Sündflut Franz Fühmann: Der Mund des Propheten Stefan Heym: König David Bericht + weitere Set von Fragen/Zugangsweisen zu jedem Text - Autor, Zeit - Die biblische Geschichte und deren klassische Exegese (wenn möglich, vorlesen) - Spezifika der literarischen Umarbeitung (Unterschiede zum kanonischen Text, Aussagewert, Botschaft des Textes) Das Seminar wir auf tschechisch geführt (ist ebenfalls für Studenten der Judaistik ausgeschrieben), der tschechischen Unterrichtssprache wird die Auswahl na Texten (Übersetzungen) angepasst.

Learning outcomes
Interpretation of texts of a specific period, genre, writer, or on a particular subject or topic.
Students will gain insight into literature and literary criticism in selected periods as well as knowledge on topics dealt with in German language literature. A special emphasis is laid on the knowledge of the historical and cultural-historical context. The resulting competence also consists in an independent interpretation of a literary text and its examination in the literary historical as well as general historical, aesthetical, sociological context and in a comparative relation to the literature of the student's mother tongue/or the second subject.
Prerequisites
The seminar is intended M.A. studentsy. COURSE is TAUGHT in Czech LANGUAGE!

Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary), Didactic Test, Seminar Work

Requirements for completion of the seminars will be specified by tutor at the beginning of the course.
