Course content
The lecture "Textlinguistik" aims to introduce to the history, methods, and key themes of text linguistics, with particular emphasis on German text linguistics. 1) The Notion of Text 2) Cohesion and Coherence; Forms of Coreference 3) Additional Criteria for Textuality 4) Anaphoric and Cataphoric Referencing in Text, Textual Deixis 5) Theme and Rheme 6) Plagiarism from the Perspective of Text Linguistics 7) History of Text Linguistics I 8) History of Text Linguistics II 9) Text Types 10) Fundamentals of Multimodal Text Analysis 11) Relationships Between Word and Image 12) Hypertext

Learning outcomes
The lecture aims to introduce to the history, methods, and key themes of text linguistics, with particular emphasis on German text linguistics.
The resulting competence consists of an overview of the terminology and history of text linguistics and its methods, as well as the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to one's own empirical (including contrastive) analysis of language.
Prerequisites
The lecture is intended for all students of the Palacký University who have sufficient knowledge of German (at least B2 level).

The series of lectures will be completed with a written exam.
