Course content
|
A series of lectures delivered by visiting scholars, providing students with an insight into selected historical and contemporary aspects of primarily Austrian, but also other German-language, literature, culture, history, intellectual history, art history, as well as social, political, and media developments. The list of lecturers and lecture schedules are posted at the beginning of the respective semester on STAG and MOODLE. Sample programme: Mgr. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the series of lectures delivered by visiting lecturers is to provide students with an insight into selected historical and contemporary manifestations of primarily Austrian, as well as other German-language, literature, culture, history, intellectual history, art history, and social, political, and media developments.
Students will acquire an overview of selected historical and contemporary developments in Austrian and other German-language literature, culture, and society. They will be able to place the topics discussed within their broader historical and cultural context, critically reflect on their significance, and discuss them in an informed academic context.

Prerequisites
|
The lecture series is open to all students of Palacký University with a good command of German.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Systematic Observation of Student
Attendance at a minimum of four out of the five scheduled lectures/workshops.
