Thus, in the seminar, the "classics" of cultural studies (Cassirer, Benjamin, ...) will be discussed as well as current texts that aptly capture the cultural-scientific approaches within literary science.

The goal of the seminar is to introduce to the participants those central texts which have coined the cultural-scientific turn / transition in literary science.
After successful completion of the seminar, the participants should, on one hand, be able to find their bearings within the spectrum of numerous cultural-scientific "propositions" and, on the other hand, to also utilise these propositions in their own research. |
