Course content
The introductory part of the discipline will focus on various ways of communication and will mention the main stages of communication development in human individuals from the point of view of ontology and the biological conditions of language acquisition in humans. In the second part of the course, basic theoretical concepts of language acquisition will be introduced (behaviourism, cognitive approach, interactionist approach, nativist and other approaches) along with the most common neurogenic communication disorders in adults.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to provide information to doctoral students about basic topics of this discipline. Emphasis will be placed mainly on theoretical concepts of language acquisition in human individuals and on disorders in the sphere of language acquisition, such as aphasia, dysgraphia, dyslexia and others.
The doctoral student will gain information on the field of psycholinguistics. The research findings from this area are profusely used in other linguistic disciplines, e.g. cognitive linguistics.
Prerequisites
active knowledge of German language at the C2 level (the course is held in German), knowledge of basic terminology in the field of linguistics
