The subject matter of this exam will be the topics of doctoral seminars concerning cultural studies and regional literary studies, which are regarded as a part of cultural studies. The student is expected to have an individual overview which is as well representative and includes the knowledge of theoretical models and their historical-scientific background and development. Another part of the exam is a list of approximately twenty cultural scientific or regional theoretical publications. The doctoral students can choose from a wide selection of canonical texts of various lengths. This option guarantees the applicability of theoretical texts to the orientation of a particular scientific topic and specification of individual doctoral students.
