The course is an introduction to the 20th century analytic philosophy of mind. It is designed to acquaint students with some of the major positions and debates in this field of inquiry. The covered topics include dualism, behaviorism, the identity theory, functionalism, the nature of consciousness, the nature of mental content and other related issues.
Students will acquire understanding of the major theories and debates in the analytic philosophy of mind. Emphasis will be put on critical analysis and evaluation of the main arguments. Students will be equiped with necessary conceptual tools to be able to think about the relevant issues in a sophisticated way.

This seminar is intended for students of the Masters program. The entirety of this seminar will be in English so a fairly high level of English is required.
