Course description: Nietzsche's philosophy has enjoyed considerable interest in recent decades, coupled with an almost uncritical acceptance. This course introduces the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche in the context of 19th century thought. It is designed as a systematic survey of key themes, supplemented by a common reading of selected passages. The aim of the course is to gain a solid overview of the basic figures of Nietzsche's difficult thought and, along with this, to try to distinguish which motifs are still fruitful and bearing today and which, on the other hand, should be abandoned. The focus of attention is on motifs from the peak and late period, especially from the books Gay Science, Beyond Good and Evil and Genealogy of Morals. The interpretation and readings include a discussion, which assumes home preparation. Literatura: Nietzsche, F., Antikrist. Přel. J. Fischer. Olomouc, Votobia 2001. Nietzsche, F., Ecce homo.
