Summer school topics vary depending on the specifics of the call. Summer school topics must be closely related to the East Asian and Southeast Asian region or another region of Asia. The topic should also be closely related to the student's specialisation (philology, sociology, anthropology, historical studies, etc.).

The aim of the summer school is to acquaint students with the latest trends in East Asian and Southeast Asian studies at domestic and international summer schools (co-)organized (not only) by the Department of Asian Studies of the Faculty of Arts of UP. The student chooses the appropriate summer school he/she plans to attend and consults the choice with the course guarantor/instructor and the difficulty of the particular summer school to match the number of credits awarded. The offer to attend a particular summer school may also be advertised by the department.

The requirements depend on the specific parameters of the summer school being held. The student completes the requirements in the format prescribed by the summer school organizer. Credits can also be obtained by written confirmation from the organisers of the summer school.
