In LS 2024, this subject serves only to supplement the Management of Culture (MK4, MKVD2), which is taught by Mgr. Magdalena Hruška and guaranteed by Martin Bernátek. Before enrolling in the course, please ask for the consent of the guarantor. Course content 1. Course content: 1. What is happening in the field of live art in the Czech Republic (structuring, scope and specifics of the milieu). 2. The state of cultural management practice in the Czech Republic at present (training opportunities, etc.) 3. Organizational structure, strategic planning, networking and cooperation, financial management, etc. 4. Funding/Fundraising (types of resources and their specifics, principles of cultural sponsorship, etc.) 5. Where and how to apply for funding? 6. HR (leadership models, volunteering in culture, professionalisation, time management, etc.) 7. Dramaturgy (factors in the development of a cultural programme concept, etc.) 8. Guest and Audience service (data collection, audience knowledge, ticketing, etc.) 9. Public relations (press release, social media, website, newsletter, partner offer, print, outdoor advertising) 10. Case study of the management of a selected cultural project (mentoring) 11. Presentation and collective evaluation of selected projects 12. Final evaluation of the seminar

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to prepare and implement an event in a public space or to prepare a plan for a public cultural activity. In LS 2024, this subject serves only to supplement the Management of Culture courses (MK4, MKVD2).
Studentst will be trained in group and project work, and gain closer links in theatre operations. Upon completion of the course, learners will have a better understanding of the operation of contemporary culture in the Czech Republic, especially in terms of marketing and public outreach.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
The project, workshop and experimental nature of the work requires regular attendance and the work also requires flexibility and the ability to have dialogue. Students will be evaluated based on activity and their performance in class and overall during the project work. Self-evaluation will also be part of the evaluation.
