Definition of terms of media studies Historical development of different media types Production and reception of media products Functions of media communication Media communication and signs Impact, influence and effect of media Media as part of everyday life

Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Projection (static, dynamic)
Learning outcomes
Introduction to basic terms and concepts of media studies, system of different media types, their relationship and communication models.
Student will understand basic definitions of media types, its communicational profile, problems of institutional level and reception of basic media types. They will be able to use basic terminology of media studies.
Prerequisites
The subject is not reccommended to students of Department of Journalism.
