Learning outcomes
|
The course is conceived as an introduction to the history of major national cinemas or artistic movements and styles. The stress is laid on the region of Central and Eastern Europe. Selected topics for example: Modern Cinema of Central Europe, Soviet Cinema after WW2, The Cinemas of Balkan, French New Wave, Nordic Cinema, History of Classical Hollywood Cinema, Japanese Cinema after WW2.
Student will gain the detailed knowledge of world cinema history which he will use in his further professional practise as film historian.
