Learning outcomes
The seminar of film analysis is a propedeutic course in which students should develop form and possibilities of analysis of a certain film by using various approaches (structural analysis, dramaturgical analysis, analysis of genre and its concrete application). Besides these types the analysis of particular elements of film (acting, editing, music, time, space, narrative) is exercises. By the analytical praxis student should master methods and techniques exercisable in a future scholarly or publishing work. The course also offers the survey of theoretical approaches in the realm of film analysis.
Student will gain the knowledge in film construction in the context of art style and genre which he can use in his future professional praxis (criticism, programming etc.).
Prerequisites
The knowledge of basic elements of film structure and the orientation in key terms of film studies. The courses necessary to graduation: Introduction to film studies, Proseminar of subject methodology (film studies).

Seminar Work
