Course content
|
The students of the first year are acquainted with the basics of methodology of the subject field, with the basics of the work with the sources and literature, with bibliographies, databases and other documentation. The scholarly work necessities, the norms of bibliography and quotation, publication rules.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to facilitate (to the benefit of students) and to forward the access to the methodology and scholarly background of the theatre studies.
The students are able to search the sources and scholarly literature and to work with this kind of works. The students will acquire the knowledge of the methodology of theatre studies and they also master the basic necessities of the scholarly work.

Prerequisites

Course with no prerequisites. Course is only for the students of distance learning of the discipline theatre and film studies!

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Dialog
Students will participate in at least 3 hours of proseminar.Written task demonstrating ability to deal with information sources and knowledge of an standard for bibliographic referencing (ISO 690).
