Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the seminar is to apply contemporary interdisciplinary comparative approaches with the accent on the relationship between literature, theatre and film. We will focus on different models of adaptations and explore stylistic devices of arts in the view of their interconnections. The group discussions will be expected to lead to description of the interdisciplinary relationships from several interpretative viewpoints, including the intertextual level, reception theories or comparative reflection of the institutional background of particular works.
The student will gain a basic orientation in the field of comparative theories and will improve his analytical capability by practical application of these theories which may be put to use in working practice (criticism, professional publication).
