Obsah předmětu
|
In the Winter Term 2026, the course will be taught by Georg Spitaler of the Austrian Society for Labour History. The course will focus on methodologies for studying protest culture and on approaches to translating histories of protest into exhibition formats. The July Revolt of 1927 in Austria and the recent centenary commemorations of the event will serve as a case study. Further details regarding the course content are available in Moodle.

Výstupy z učení

The aim of the course is to introduce students to current developments in performance, dance and theatre studies in a foreign professional context through a series of lectures, seminars or workshops by visiting experts. The name of the speaker or lecturer will be announced at the beginning of the term and the content of the lecture will be based on their professional interests and current research. The lecture series may also include the screening of a thematically selected audiovisual recording.
Students will: - learn about the current state of performance research worldwide, - learn about foreign cultures and strengthen intercultural awareness, - practice using the English language in academic context.

Analýza výkonů studenta, Rozbor díla tvůrčího charakteru (hudební, výtvarné, literární), Seminární práce, Závěrečný projekt
- attendance (100%) - homework (reading assigned academic text or literature in English, 50 pages; watching assigned recordings; listening to assigned audio formats; writing short texts) - active participation in class discussions. - credit is awarded for writing an essay (10 standard pages) based on learned knowledge and provided literature. - Requirements for participation and course completion are specified in Moodle.
