Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to understand the changes in contemporary dramaturgical work and to try out the lecturing activity in cooperation with Theatre on Cuckoos and the Moravian Theatre Studio. During the seminar, students will learn about the changes in dramaturgical work in Czech and international theatre, especially in the context of post-dramatic theatre. They will also learn how to prepare a lecturer's introduction or accompanying educational material for a production.
Students will learn to look at different types of materials as potential carriers of new contemporary meanings, the source of which is creative dramaturgical interpretation. Emphasis will be placed on the relationship between discursive and non-discursive elements and the diversity of materials, as well as the relationship between (dramaturgical) analysis and interpretation. Learners will be trained in group and project work, gain closer links in theatre operations and become familiar with the process of developing a dramaturgical plan for a theatre/cultural institution. Upon completion of the course, they will be familiar with the basic mechanisms and issues of creating dramaturgical concepts and lecturer introductions in theatre.
