Course content
The issue of transfer of theatrical productions as an artistic artefact limited in time and space is a comprehensive overview of the possibilities and pitfalls of the media, which differently affect the shape of the theater since the twenties of the 20th century. Particular in relation between theater and film there was a very tight connection, an extensive area of interest consists of filmmakers such dramatic adaptation substances themselves and dramas. Long development has had a relationship with the performing arts in radio. The youngest medium of television and video technology with an entirely new, dynamic way to work with audiovisual recording theatrical productions, created the genre TV adaptation of theater performance and also signed on heuristic and documentary practice of theater creators, editors and critics. 4. Learning outcomes
This course will focus on the topic of theatre performace which is artistic artefact limited by time and space and its transfer into the media of 20th century: film, radio and television. It will describe entry of audiovisual technology into the organism of theatre performance. It will also reflect the genre of theatre adaptation for each media as well as its heuristic and documentary aspects of media in theatre.
Knowledge of historical and contemporary context of radio, theatre adaptations in radio, film and television, development of analytical and comparision skills.
Prerequisites
Precondition is knowledge of theoretical subjects from the field of film, theatre and radio theory.
