Learning outcomes
|
Using the anthropological approaches of historical research, the aim of the course will be to make the students acquainted with cultural-historical aspects of the Humanist and Baroque period, which can be made use of in the interpretation of early modern literature. After an introduction to the research questions, a work with texts reflecting the topics in question will follow.
The student is able to understand the cultural and historical context of Humanism and the Baroque, apply anthropological approaches to the interpretation of early modern literary texts, and analyze how contemporary themes are reflected in literature.

Student performance, Seminar Work
Active participation in the seminar (a maximum of two unexcused absences), reading of assigned texts, and preparation of an oral or written presentation.
