Learning outcomes
The course is designed to introduce students to the basic types of approach to the study of linguistic topics and to provide them with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to be able to collect research language material, or to locate the necessary sources, and to choose a research method that fits the objectives of their work. Students will also be introduced to the basic literature presenting different types of language research.
Students will acquire the competence to critically assess the appropriateness of a method with regard to the research objective and the nature of the research material.

Presentation and discussion of a seminar paper of approximately three pages in length.
