Units 1-3 of the textbook Berliner Platz neu - 1 U 1: Hallo! Greetings. Introducing. Talk about name, origin and languages. Pronunciation. Grammar: declarative sentence, interrogative clause, alphabet, verb conjugation, interrogative pronouns, personal pronouns, gender and articles (definite, indefinite). U 2: Wie geht es? How are you? Order drinks. Asking and telling prices. Asking and telling Phone number and address. Listening: time designations. Grammar: Numerals 0-200, yes-no questions, personal pronouns, verb conjugation, declarative sentence (verb position). U 3: Was kostet das? Discuss price. Sell/buy interviews. Description of the goods. Understand sell-buy advertisement. Vocabulary: ordinary things in the bag. Grammar: Numerals 201-1.000 000, possessive pronouns, negative pronoun kein.

Learning outcomes |
This is the first semester of the four-semester course German for Beginners for general purpose. Development of the language competencies: reading, listening, speaking, writing on elementary level - A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This course is meant for the students of the Philosophical Faculty only.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test
It is required to sign up in the electronic system STAG at the beginning of the semester. Credit: 1. Course attendance - maximum of 2 absences. Absence from the classes is in no case a reason for being unprepared in the following tutorial. 2. Regular home preparation, especially written homeworks (if the student is not prepared, he can be regarded as being absent). 3. Passing all so-called "small" tests during the semester (passing level always min. 70%). Students who have not achieved given passing level shall write a comprehensive credit test in the following exam period. It is possible to repeat an unsuccessfull "small" test but no later than 2 weeks after it has been written. Only students who wish to take the credit test will register in STAG for a term. Warning: Students are obliged to finish every course by the end of exam period of the semester in which they enrolled for the course (and only on the terms set by the teacher)! |
