Course content |
The examination has two parts: a written test on the grammar/vocabulary covered in the course and an interview. The interview will focus on topics from the study materials we have used. You must write a subject-related text (in English) that you submit to me latest a week before the exam. During the interview, you must introduce your text and talk about the content. Learning outcomes |
The examination will test the students' knowledge and skills acquired in the courses AS 1-4. By attending the four-term course and passing the exam students reach the B2 level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Passing this exam, you will show that you are able to read, understand and compose subject-related texts as well as able to express him/herself in the field of his/her study. Prerequisites |
This is meant for the students who want to take an exam at the end of the four-semester Intermediate English course. The exam can be taken on condition that the student has sucessfully passed all semesters of the course AS1-4. You have to register for ASZ in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses. By attending the four-term course and passing the exam you will reach level B2, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Mark, Oral exam, Analysis of linguistic
You have to have completed AS1 - AS4 succesfully to take ASZ, and register for the course in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses. Emphasis is placed on reading comprehension and interpretation, grammar and vocabulary in accordance with the achieved language level B2. Part of the oral examination is also rechecking the grammar credit test (examination of any wrong answers). The oral examination is finished with a dialogue / monologue on one of the topics discussed during the semesters. You have to register for ASZ in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses. Closer information on the exam can be found in Moodle (including mandatory information!). |
