Course content |
1) Student will choose a subject-related text (10 pages). 2) Student will study the text, translate all the unknown words and hands in a 2-page analysis of this text in English 3) Both the original text and the analysis must be submitted to the teacher in printed form no later than 1 week before the exam takes place 4) At the exam, students will introduce their texts; explain why they have chosen it and then their analysis will be discussed. Students must also show the original text with the translated words to the tutor. Finally, students will gramatically analyse 1 randomly chosen part of the original English text. Students must bring their own copies of the text to the exam (original and translation).

Learning outcomes |
The examination will test the students' knowledge and skills acquired in the courses ASAP1 + ASAP2. By attending the two-term course and passing the exam students reach the B1+ level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Student is able to read, understand and translate a subject-related text as well as able to express him/herself in the field of his/her study. By attending the two-term course and passing the exam students reach the C1 level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. |
Prerequisites |
This is meant for the students who want to take an exam at the end of the two- semester Upper Intermediate English course. The exam can be taken on condition that the student has sucessfully passed both semesters of the course. The students will register for ASAPZ in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses. Knowledge of English as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - level C1.
