Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces students to the organizational structure and functions of the public sector, the activities of public administration, public finance, and selected areas of the public sector. It also focuses on the principles of sustainable development and their application in public administration.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written exam, Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student
Regular attendance is recommended; however, attendance is not compulsory. Attendance is mandatory during the student's group presentation and during guest lectures by experts from practice. In the case of an excused absence, an alternative assignment will be provided Guest experts during the winter semester: MUDr. Albert Štěrba, Ph.D.: Current Challenges in Czech Healthcare. Additional experts from practice will be introduced throughout the semester. Course credit is awarded based on a group presentation delivered during the seminar. Presentation topics and specific requirements will be explained during the introductory class. A written summary is required as part of the presentation, and students will also act as peer reviewers. The course is completed with an examination. At the beginning of the winter semester, students will be informed whether the examination will be written or oral. Study materials and all course-related information will be available in Moodle from the beginning of the winter semester.
