This course is an introduction to the teaching of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). The course will develop awareness of current trends in language teaching and learning. Through a programme of discussions and practical teaching activities we will explore the educational contexts in which English is taught. The course will focus on practical materials that students might find useful in their teaching practice and career. The course aims to help students gain competences in teaching English through activities, discussions and microteaching. In the Master's study programme, these courses are followed by other optional courses under the DID1/MTD1 and DID2/MTD2 codes, which open in both winter and summer semesters.
