Learning outcomes
The series of lectures provides an overview of the specific developments in Czech painting and sculpture between the turn of the 20th century and the outbreak of World War II. Opinion transformations in art are studied in the context of the history of social-political and cultural changes in Czech lands, as well as in the wider context of the historical events of the 20th century and the resulting situation in European and global visual arts.
Basic knowledge of tendencies and opinion transformations of Painting and Sculpture in Czech Lands between 1890 and 1939.
Prerequisites
Attendance of lectures DVU/BEU19 - 19th Century European Art and DVU/B19UC - Art of the 19th Century in the Czech Lands.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active participation in lectures. Minimum 80 percent attendance. Manifestation of the knowledge of the lectures' content and literature. Credit test verifying the knowledge of the lectures' content and literature.
