Learning outcomes

Lectures and seminars aim to teach students to understand the specifics of the Neapolitan school of the 17th century as a new view of reality and its depiction and as a creative development of stimuli, awakened by the examples of Caravaggio and Jusepa de Ribera, whose innovation was strongly followed by Neapolitan painting.
Understanding the character, history, selected personalities and selected key works of the Golden age of 17th century painting in Naples.
