What does it look like right now? 7. Unusable and endangered monuments. Wins and losses 8. Helfštýn Castle 9. Tourism, capitalization of heritage conservation? 10. To whom to give THE stamp. Heritage conservation beyond the Czech Republic, especially with neighbors 11. Does the owner pay, the state decides, the guards guard while others stare?

Learning outcomes
|
This course follows the course Case interactions in the current heritage conservation 1. The aim is to acquaint students with important cases from the recent or present time, and to illustrate the practical, methodological, legislative and institutional limits of heritage conservation in the Czech Republic with overlaps into other (especially European) systems of heritage conservation. The individual block is filled with a lecture of 60-70 minutes and a subsequent discussion on the lectured topic in the length of 20-30 minutes.
Students will understand the practical, methodological, legislative and institutional limits of heritage conservation in the Czech Republic, and will take them into account in practice.

General knowledge of heritage conservation themes.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar Work
Seminar work on the topic of heritage assets adaptations (monuments, protected areas) of the Czech Republic, which are caused by the climate change (solar panels, wind farms, energy savings in buildings, greenery, etc.). The work should briefly describe the selected case, include a structured consideration with an assessment of the impact on monuments, and add photographs, or web links to photographs. Submission in an electronic form, max. 5 pages (without photo documentation).
