The aim is to familiarize students with the main stages of development of Czech art in the late Luxembourg era during the reign of Wenceslas IV of Luxembourg and Sigismund of Luxembourg. The focus is also on Czech art of the Hussite period, with an emphasis on iconographic aspects. A detailed explanation of the art of the Jagiellonian era in the Czech lands (1471-1526) will be provided, and the lecture will conclude with a look at Czech Renaissance and Mannerist art of the 16th century.
