Learning outcomes
|
Selected lectures presenting current trends in the field of theory and history of fine arts, museum and gallery practices and historic preservation. It is intended for students of art history of all years. Selected topics from the Middle Ages to the 21st century will be lectured by invited domestic and foreign specialists.
In depth knowledge of presented topics. Final discussions supporting the development of critical thinking and the ability of own research procedures.

Basic knowledge of styles and periodization.

Student performance, Written exam
1) Regular attendance 2) Three short texts reflecting three assigned lectures (10-15 lines each; Word or PDF format). The texts have to be submitted by the end of May (summer semester) or by the 20th of December (winter semester). After the last lecture, Doc. Jakubec will provide a list with assigned lectures (it will not be a free choice). They should be ORIGINAL, AUTHORIAL texts (reflections) - loosely inspired by the topic of the chosen lecture; it should NOT be their description, summary or evaluation! Doc. Jakubec will then record the credit/s in the IS STAG.
