Course content
1. Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556). 2. Societas Iesu: the history of institute 3. Societas Iesu: the saints. 4. Societas Iesu: missioners. 5. Societas Iesu: the scholars and the scientists. 6.-8.: Societas Iesu and the arts. 9. Societas Iesu and the architecture. 10. The Plague in baroque. 11. The Plague and saint defenders in front of him. 12.-13. St. John of Nepomuk.

Learning outcomes
The first lecture is focused on the history and iconography of the Jesuit order, which is monitored through the fusion of Baroque culture in the Czech Republic with its focal points in Italy and other European countries. Other topics include the history and cult of plague, st. patrons and St John of Nepomuk.

Prerequisites
The finished first year of the bachelor degree of the History of Art.
