Learning outcomes
|
The course follows a lecture devoted to Czech modern and contemporary art. It focuses mainly on the art of the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. It focuses on the selected themes and topics, puts them into a broader context. An essential part is the work with literature and orientation in basic texts.
After completing the course, the student will be acquainted with the main trends in Czech art from the end of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century. She/ he will be able to interpret selected strategies and critically evaluate their reflections in historical sources as well as critical literature. At the same time she/ he will be able to see the global parallels.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Dialog, Seminar Work
The student is obliged to actively participate in the seminar, work out assigned tasks (written as well as practical) and present a paper.
