Learning outcomes
The series of lectures summarizes the history of European painting, sculpture, spatial design, and conceptual art from the end of WWII until the end of the eighties, covering also American visual arts. Opinion transformations in art are studied in the wider context of period historical-political events. Attention is also paid to the consequent transformations of art history as a science.
Basic knowledge of tendencies and changes of opinion in general history, history of European painting, sculpture and conceptual art between 1945-1990.
Prerequisites
Attendance of the lecture series DVU/B20E1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Written exam

Active participation in lectures. Minimum 80 percent attendance. Manifestation of the knowledge of the lectures' content and literature. A test verifying the knowledge of the lectures' content and literature, covering European Painting and Sculpture of the 20th century 1, 2.
