The seminar follows the series of lectures titled The 20th Century Painting and Sculpture in Czech Lands 1, 2. Attention is on attempts to answer specific questions of the art by selected Czech and non-Czech artists in the context of historical and socio-political events and opinion transformations particularly during the first half of the 20th century, with an emphasis on the context of period activities of Czech, German, and women's regional and supra-regional associations.
